Who We Are
Global Communities is a development-oriented non-governmental organization (NGO). We have been operational in Ghana since 2007.
Starting with urban slum improvements, our portfolio of projects has grown to include:
- water, sanitation and hygiene;
- solid waste management;
- local government capacity building;
- municipal finance;
- nutrition and livelihoods;
- youth vocational and entrepreneurial skill development;
- and health (Covid-19).
We are currently implementing a 5-year USAID-supported Enhancing WASH Activity (EN-WASH project), a build-up on the previous 6-year USAID-supported WASH for Health Project.
Where We Are
Over the past years, we have expanded our operations from nine poor urban communities in Accra and Sekondi-Takoradi to thousands of communities in fourteen out of the sixteen regions in Ghana.
Operating out of four field offices in Accra, Tamale, Wa and Bolgatanga, Global Communities continues to build strong partnerships with communities, local NGOs and the private sector to touch and improve the lives of many Ghanaians through our comprehensive and multi-component project interventions.
