Senior Management
Alberto Wilde
Alberto Wilde is a business administrator with more than 26 years of experience in project management, finance, and business administration and joined Global Communities in 2003. He has a master’s in Corporate Finance. Alberto has successfully implemented complex and multi-dimensional projects in economic development; governance; capacity building; water, sanitation, and hygiene; and small, medium, and large infrastructure projects in Bolivia, Haiti, and Ghana.
Alberto has led water and sanitation projects in urban, peri-urban, and rural areas, providing strategic direction for capacity building, developing innovative, scalable solutions for low-income communities, and linking microfinance with the WASH sector. He also provided strategic leadership on the Youth Engagement in Service Delivery program, building the capacity of public and private sector actors for value addition and employment creation for youth within selected solid waste value chains. Alberto has also directed the implementation and management of IncluCity- Improving Governance and Services for Ghana’s Urban Poor Program. The program built the capacity of both public and civil society actors for inclusive governance, planning, budgeting, and revenue generation for improved service delivery. He has overseen projects funded by USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and The MasterCard Foundation. Over time he has leveraged several millions of dollars from the private sector and developed long-lasting partnerships. Currently is successfully leading the WASH for Health program implementation across Ghana by bringing an innovative behavioral-led approach transforming water and sanitation, especially for the people in most need. In 2016 he designed the Digni-Loo, an affordable and easy-to-install plastic slab, which received much recognition from various stakeholders.

Dominic Osei
Dominic Osei has over 13 years of experience in the WASH sector in Ghana, holding key roles on USAID’s Ghana WASH (G-WASH) project as well as Water Access, Sanitation and Hygiene for Urban Poor (WASH-UP) and WASH for Health (W4H) Projects. In addition to applying his technical expertise in designing, implementing, and managing WASH projects, he has contributed to research on factors in successful community-led total sanitation (CLTS) and design and construction of affordable superstructures to complement the Digni-Loo, which he also helped develop. He led a team to develop questions for the Trial of Improved Practices (TIPs) research on the promotion of nutrition-sensitive WASH behaviors. Mr. Osei has served as Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) of W4H since October 2017, overseeing MEL and research, leading CLA, and collaborating with other USAID projects. He holds both a BSc. and an MSc. in Environmental science.
He currently leads the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Team and serves as the Technical Director for the USAID Enhancing WASH Activity

Nicholas is a professional accountant and oversees all finance and administrative related processes and systems for Global Communities. His role involves financial management, reporting and compliance with respect to donors, government and Global Communities’ financial management, accounting, and procurement systems. He reports and monitors matching contributions, burn rates, and tracks expenditures against budgets. He was the first local employee since Global Communities, then CHF International, started project implementation in Ghana with the Bill and Melinda Gates funded SCALE-UP Project in 2008. He has risen through the ranks from Finance & Administration Manager to his current position of Director of Finance & Admin Director. Over the eleven-year period with Global Communities, he has seen to the smooth and clean financial audit of all our programs and has created a clean, safe and conducive office environment for delivering on our mandate. Prior to joining Global Communities, he has held positions as an Accountant in both public and private sectors for more than a decade. He holds a BSc. in Administration (Accounting Option) from the University of Ghana and an MSc. in Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business.

Edith Atiku
Edith Atiku joined CHF International (now Global Communities) in 2010 and has since been working as Administrative Officer. Certified Administrator with accomplished 20 years professional experience in the WASH sector in Ghana, Edith ensures smooth day-to-day running of the office, comfortable in carrying out multitask, planning and organizing meetings and conferences, procures goods and services, as well as providing general administrative support for all program activities. Edith played key administrative roles in the successful implementation of USAID’s WASH-UP and W4H projects.

Hannah Arabella Ewura Esi Tachie-Menson
Hannah Arabella Ewura Esi Tachie-Menson has over 12 years experience in human resources management in the INGO sector and the occupational health sector. She has previously worked on USAID’s WASH-UP and WASH For Health projects. She has also worked on the MasterCard Foundation’s YIEDIE project. As the Global Communities Ghana HR mainstay, she has contributed to the success of these projects through her recruitment approaches, employee engagement initiatives, and overall support for talent management at all levels within the Ghana offices. Her successes include leading the adoption of a Provident Fund for interested staff; supporting HQ/HR in reviews of the Employee Handbook; developing a Staff Demobilization toolkit, a COVID-19 Tracer Questionnaire document, and a Teleworking Policy document for the Global Communities Ghana offices. She holds two Master’s degrees in International Human Resource Management and International Affairs.

Joseph Baffo
Joseph Baffo is the Financial Manager under E-WASH project. He has 15 years of experience in Financial Management of Donor Funds. He made significant input in the designing and implementation of WASH Budgets. He has been the team lead of Disbursement, Treasure, and financial reporting to HQ. He has been Team lead for the annual Audit under WASH-UP as well as WASH4HEALTH. Those annual Audits over the years have been extremely successful.
In addition, he helped with the selection, awarding and successful implementation of sub- awards. He played a key role in the financial management of the sub-awardees. His role as financial manager to the partners has contributed to the successful implementation of our local partners such that we still have some partners from W4H under E-WASH project. He played key financial role in the implementation of Mastercard Foundation and W4H projects over the past 5 to 7 years. Mr. Baffo holds BSC Admin. Accounting option, MBA, Accounting & Finance and ACCA Finalist.

Nicholas Ayensu-Appiah
Nicholas Ayensu-Appiah has been involved in social development and civil society strengthening for over 18 years. He has extensive experiences in project management, grant management and contracts. Nicholas has been involved in several project appraisals, designs, assessments, implementation, evaluation and in project sustainability and transition planning at local and international levels. He holds an MBA in Project Management and a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) – Ghana.

Augustine Ganiyu Adams
Augustine Ganiyu Adams has more than 16 years of experience in development in his native Ghana, including on WASH-UP, W4H, and IncluCity. Previously, he worked directly for Government of Ghana (GoG) agencies, giving him a keen understanding of the workings of government in a decentralized system, and the ability to forge strong working relationships with representatives at all levels. For W4H, he is building the capacities of District Assemblies in standards for WASH service provision, use of community scorecards, and development of WASH action plans. Mr. Adams earned a MSc. in development planning and management and a Bsc. in planning.

Dominic Dapaah has 22 years of experience in the WASH sector in Ghana, rising from field officer through the ranks and currently the Programs Coordinator for the Northern Sector. He has worked on WASH-related projects including USAID WASH for Health (W4H) Project. Dominic Dapaah is a certified national Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) facilitator and has expertise in facilitation skills (the use participatory tools). Mr. Dapaah has served as Programme Coordinator in Global Communities responsible for Northern Sector of Ghana since June 2015. He holds B.A. in Integrated Development Studies and M.A. Governance and Sustainable Development.

Felix Amofa
Felix Amofa has 13 years of experience in the WASH sector in Ghana. He has held WASH related roles on USAID’s WASH projects such Ghana WASH, WASH-UP, W4H and currently Enhancing WASH Activity. He is currently the Sanitation Specialist on the Enhancing WASH Project seeing to the implementation of CLTS in project communities. He was influential in the development, piloting, and testing of the Digni-Loo toilet facility. He leads in the construction of household sanitation facilities on the project ensuring that households construct and use basic sanitation facilities. He has BSc in Natural Resources Management and MSc in Environmental Resources Management.

Joshua K. D. Ofosuhene is the Sanitation Marketing Coordinator, overseeing the promotion of the innovative Digni-Loo and has over 8 years of experience in the WASH sector in Ghana. He has experience in WASH research, designing WASH data collection tools and database, managing WASH data collection exercises, and report writing, His proclivity for M&E systems and tools equipped him to partake in the upgrade of a Basic Sanitation Information System’s (BaSIS) platform from semi-automated to a fully-automated data flow process. Joshua holds a BSc. and MPhil in Civil Engineering.

Martha Tia-Adjei has 22 years of experience in the WASH sector in Ghana, holding key roles on USAID WASH project as well as WASH for Health project (W4H). In addition to applying her technical expertise in designing, implementing, and managing WASH projects, she has contributed to research on factors on successful CLTS implementation and on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and general hygiene promotion in the Ghanaian WASH sector. She led a team to research into menstrual hygiene behaviors among basic school pupils in some rural and urban poor schools as well as researching into WASH in Health Care Facilities in both lower level and Tertiary facilities. Martha Tia-Adjei has served as the CLTS Specialist of W4H and currently the WASH Specialist on the Enhancing WASH Project. She holds an MPH in Health Promotion and Education, a B.A in Integrated Development Studies and a Diploma in Environmental Health and Sanitation.

Moses Arkoh
Ing. Moses Arkoh is a civil engineer with over 13 years of experience, including eight in water and sanitation. Mr. Arkoh has supported both Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for Health and its predecessor project Water, Access, Sanitation and Hygiene for Urban Poor (WASH-UP), overseeing design and construction of environmentally friendly infrastructure. In this capacity, he has played an instrumental role in the development of small-town water systems across Ghana. In his role with WASH for Health, he evaluated the work, records, and reports of contracted engineers and construction managers assigned to various project, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and all construction complies with local Government of Ghana guidelines.
Mr. Arkoh is also experienced in Social Behaviour Change and has supported behavior change initiatives and sensitization efforts in both schools and Health Care facilities. Ing. Moses Arkoh is currently leading the team of hardware engineers in the USAID – Enhancing WASH Activity being implemented in 6 regions of Ghana.

Senam Amanda Ntow
Senam Amanda Ntow is a communications professional with over 8 years’ experience in the development/non-profit sector, specifically in HIV/AIDS control and WASH. She joined Global Communities in 2018 and has seen to the development of impactful stories, communication materials and media outreaches as part of a comprehensive approach to engaging key audiences and increasing visibility of Global Communities’ projects. She plays a major role in the production of project documentaries, reports, and social media WASH campaigns.

Rita Mantey serves as the Security focal Point and Programs Assistant; she has been working with Global Communities since 2015.
Before Global Communities, Rita worked with International Humanitarian organizations providing professional guidance and support to improve donor interactions.
